A Space for Reflection

Soul-Prompt is a dedicated space for prompts that inspire clarity, reflection, and self-awareness.

In today's world of constant stimulation and scrolling videos, I wanted to create a space that countered our culture of information overload. A place to foster self-understanding in a culture that distracts us from it. A space to explore our motivations, emotions, thoughts and culture and how all of those things affect us. It's a guide back home to ourselves, toward our raw authenticity, through the age-old art of self-reflection.

The Origin

Soul-Prompt began as a personal experiment. I created it in August 2025 as a daily practice in pausing, questioning, and connecting more deeply with myself and it has evolved into a weekly reflection that I invite you to join. My hope is that each blog post acts as a prompt—something to stir thought, spark journaling, or open up a meaningful dialogue with another.

The Why

I've always felt the desire to express myself creatively through writing, whether it was a song, a poem, a short story or a novel. I also like to paint and draw on occasion, my morning cup of coffee, quiet time, and walks in nature. I majored in philosophy in college and that helped me think about things, the world, and myself in a reflective way. Know thyself is the most important thing we can do (thank you, Socrates and Plato). Currently, I'm transitioning from marketing to getting my master's degree for clinical mental health counseling. Mental health is so important for us all to nurture as it can so easily be sidetracked or shipwrecked if we aren't incredibly aware of ourselves, our true nature and our environment.

I wanted to create a space that can serve the world in a positive way instead of contribute to the negative noise. I hope this blog helps you in some way. I hope it inspires you to journal...as journaling we can see our thoughts on paper, new things come out we never thought were there, and it allows for catharsis and clarity.

Maybe some day we'll share our journal entries with each other and laugh, or cry, because we have outgrown our former self. Maybe we'll celebrate the deep well of what it means to be alive.
